Birth Blogs: Topic Two! Birth Books

Hey there y’all! For this weeks topic I decided to dive into “birth books”. I am going to give you a list of my current reads and places you can find them! I wanted to share this because for one, indulging in all the pregnancy and baby books you can find is usually one of the first things newly expecting parents do! It’s a way to ease fears, educate and simply enjoy the new season of life. As a doula, it’s important to keep up with the ever changing and adapting world of all things birth and baby. With that being said…here are a list of my current reads! I usually read a few at a time (keeps it interesting and allows me to compare and contrast notes between similar content). Enjoy!

1. The Doula Advantage by: Rachel Gurevich (Amazon)

2. Dr Spock’s Baby and Child Care 5th Edition by: Benjamin Spock, M.D. (Books a Million)

3. Natural Hospital Birth (the best of both worlds) by: Cynthia Gabriel (Books a Million)

4. The Whole Brain Child by: Daniel J. Siegel M.D. and Tina Payne Bryson, PH. D (this one is one of my all time favorites!! Can be found on Amazon or at Books a Million)

So far I love each and every one (I wouldn’t share otherwise!) on my upcoming reading list I have No Drama Discipline as well as Brain Rules for Baby and I always refer back to the Pregnancy Encyclopedia (it has an amazing breakdown of the week by week of pregnancy as well as super fun visuals! Hope y’all enjoyed! If you have any suggestions for new readings please feel free to drop them in the comment section below!!

PS: still waiting to hear back from a few new collaborations that I am super pumped about! Stay tuned!♥️
