Hey y’all! Thanks for tuning in again for topic three! This week I’m sharing a little bit behind my passion for this career, and this lifestyle.
Let’s rewind shall we?
When I was a little girl, my parents blessed me with a baby sister at the age of 3. From that moment on, my life became less about playing Barbies (even though I totally dig a good game of Barbie pretend) and more about breastfeeding and playing “baby and me”. There’s boxes of home videos of me toting around my first baby doll and pretending to birth, breast feed and nurture just as my mama did. I don’t think I’d have it any other way either. Since the age of 3, I’ve been blessed with two more siblings, and my childhood consisted mostly of a pregnant mama and babies. And y’all? I freaking loved it. While some kids were watching Saturday morning cartoons, I was tuning into TLC and “A Baby Story”. I knew the differences between vernix and placentas and I wasn’t naive to where babies came from. To be honest? I loved bragging about all things babies and always felt super cool😂
Flash forward to the present:
Big brown eyes wide as a baby comes through the birth canal. Heart filled with awe as I get to partake in the miracle. I wouldn’t change this career for the life of me. I thank God everyday that He didn’t let my plans follow through because I am so lucky to be here. So lucky to be daily pursuing a career in my absolute favorite thing. To all you mamas reading this? You’re amazing. Your bodies do incredible things. Thank you for allowing me to partake in your journey. Please don’t ever stop sharing pictures and videos of your journey. Each and every one of them make my heart swell. Y’all are rockstars. Thank you for making my dreams come true.
